Assessments are used as stepping stones for learning and explicitly measure achievement of learning outcomes to infer the learning progression and plan for the future remediation to bridge the learning gaps 

Foundational stage: Assessment is continuous and carried out in informal settings. All assessment activities are largely based on observations and analysing artefacts that the child has produced as part of their learning experience. All aspects of development-Mental, Physical, Social and Emotional are recorded according to age-appropriate rubrics. 

From class 1 onwards the assessments are structured and a robust system of formative assessment is used to track progress. Along with written tests other tools of assessment give a multi-pronged approach to the assessment of the child. Portfolios are also used to capture the student progress in a holistic manner. They are also introduced to peer and self-assessment to help students monitor the trajectory of their own learning.
